Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway as well as at various festivals across Europe as well as her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. The real name of Sunshine is Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta however, her roots lie in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop a musical career performing and singing at church. She attended Spellman College and began to master the R&B styles of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was called Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released only in Japan and has been remixed since by a variety of producers and has become the mainstay of her live sets. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. She was the main pianist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning performer) approached her for an opportunity to be the choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was brought to the attention of America during the daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
