Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents named her Winona for the town she grew up in. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's dad came from a Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. She also has a half-sister, Sunyata Jubal. Her younger sibling is Uria. Ryder and her family relocated to Mendocino County in California in the year 2000, when Ryder was only seven years old. They resided in an area without electricity. Ryder read a lot due to the lack of television. Ryder, then 12, was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. Lucas was let go in 1986. Ryder, who was only 15, landed a role as a leading actress. Ryder suffered bullying in the high school. Her professional acting, she believed to help, could have helped her. Unfortunately, that did not happen. She continued to pursue her dreams. In 1988, she got her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was a star in several films. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
